In 2005, the top five grossing movies in the U.S. alone brought in over half a billion dollars in ticket sales, with movie patrons being entertained by the very latest in screen and surround sound technology. And…this all happened while moviegoers sat in seats that weren’t so different from those of the silent film era.

That all changed in 2008, when we introduced a breakthrough in cinema seating technology that would go on to revolutionize the moviegoing experience, driving more patrons to theatres and reinvigorating the industry.

2008

Launched as a residential furniture manufacturer in New Albany, MS a town deeply rooted in the furniture industry for more than 160 years.

2012

Pivoted business strategies to disrupt the cinema market by launching luxury recliner seating for movie theatres.

2015

Expanded to +900,000 sq feet of office, inventory space and manufacturing facility to become the largest manufacturer of luxury cinema seating in the world.

2017

Proven success of the VIP recliner seating concept leads to over 500,000 seats sold.

2019

International offices in the UK and Dubai open as part of global expansion.

Corporate office moves to St. Louis, MO.

OUR STATE-OF-THE-ART FACILITIES AND PROCESSES

Every VIP Cinema Seating project is meticulously handcrafted in the USA at our facilities in New Albany, MS – a town deeply rooted in the furniture industry for more than 160 years. With over 900,000 square feet of manufacturing facility and operations space, we are the largest manufacturer of luxury cinema seating in the world, equipped to produce over 1,000 seats per day and efficiently service our customers.

We run multiple vertical production cells, and all of our frames, upholstery and seating foams are designed and cut using calibrated computer technology for guaranteed to-spec accuracy. Before the production process even begins, we select the finest materials for our products, including high-density polyurethane seating foam, kiln-dried hardwood, plywood, steel frames and recliner mechanisms from market-leader Leggett & Platt.

Our dedicated staff of highly-skilled furniture experts then moves those materials through the production process with a trained, watchful eye, making sure the product meets our high quality standards across every stage.
